PROGRAM & SCHEDULE

 
United Boxing Club offers training that allow participants to:
(1) Learn the sport of boxing; (2) Get in shape; (3) Have fun.

 

Equipment Required: Indoor gym shoes (no outdoor shoes please), workout clothing and water.
Recommend: Hand wraps are recommended and sold at United Boxing Club.
Provided: Boxing gloves are available for use by all participants.
Head gear is available for sparring members of United Boxing Club.

Youth Boxing
A structured boxing program targeted for youth ages 8-13 years of age that provides a great workout in a safe, challenging and FUN environment. Emphasis is on physical literacy with a strong boxing component. No boxing experience necessary (Length of Training: 45 minutes).

Fundamentals
These classes provide fundamentals of boxing as well as a tremendous strength; cardio and conditioning workout lead by one of United Boxing Club’s Instructors. Participants can anticipate a warm up, heavy bag work and/or circuit training, followed by an abdominal workout. Our instructors will deliver an effective workout that will engage, challenge and help you reach your goals, teach you the sport of boxing while having fun. You are stronger than you think! No boxing experience necessary (Length of Training: 1.25 hours).

Hit Like a Girl
With the same focus on fundamentals and fitness as our Fundamentals class, the Hit Like a Girl (women’s only) will provide a more specialized training approach for United Boxing Club’s female members. No boxing experience necessary (Length of Training: 1 hour).

Competitive Team Training
These training sessions are open to active members of United Boxing Club’s competitive team or by invitation only. All participants must have a current medical and be registered athletes in good standing with the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association. This training is lead by United Boxing Club’s Competitive Instructors under the supervision of Brandt Butt, Scott Witherspoon and Ryan Savage (Length of Training: 1.5 hours).

Supervised Sparring
Supervised sparring is open to United Boxing Club’s competitive team and those who wish to spar recreationally. Safety is of the utmost importance and our coaches oversee sessions to ensure that no member finds themselves in over their head. All individuals who wish to spar must have a current medical and be registered athletes in good standing with the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association.

Statutory Holiday Hours:
United Boxing Club is closed for all Statutory Holidays. We provide notice to membership when the club will be closed via social media and notice in the gym. As a general information rule, where the statutory holiday is on a Saturday or Sunday, the gym is closed for the weekend and reopens on Monday for regular gym classes and hours. Where the statutory holiday is on a Monday, the gym is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday and will reopen for regular gym classes and hours on Tuesday.
